London - SAS Global Communications, an international provider of managed and professional network services, today announced that its managed services agreement with WSP, one of the world’s largest consultancy groups serving clients in the built and natural environment, has been renewed for a second successive term.

Under the terms of the new five-year agreement, SAS Global Communications will provide WSP with a range of 24/7 monitoring and support services, including its enhanced service relationship management.

The contract renewal forms part of a larger managed and professional services agreement between the two companies that will also see SAS Global Communications take responsibility for upgrading WSP’s existing 45-site UK WAN infrastructure to BT’s 21CN technology.

Ian Shearer UK IT director for WSP said: “The new network will bring increased flexibility and scalability to our network provision. This is our foundation architecture to support WSP’s strategy for further centralised applications, smarter working, greener IT and efficiencies in the application of technology to meet our clients’ and business needs.”

“This is a significant contract renewal for SAS and we hope it demonstrates the value that our services provide to WSP,” said Charles Davis, CEO for SAS Global Communications. “SAS's proven approach to managed and professional services can benefit any company looking to improve the performance and support of their enterprise network.”
