We are delighted to announce that SAS has been appointed to transform the Eight Fifty Food Group network platform to an SD-WAN cloud hosted, secure network.
Eight Fifty Food Group is an international multi-protein food group and a leading processor and supplier of seafood and pork products.
With sales of over £1.7bn and employing more than 8,000 people across 21 sites in the UK, Ireland and mainland Europe, its operations supply food to the UK retail, trade and food service industries and other UK and global food producers.
SAS will deliver a fully managed service for the group-wide network infrastructure to standardise on a single, centrally managed SD WAN and cloud-based security platform, whilst also providing an enhanced remote access service for users and partners and accessing platforms like M365, Azure and AWS.
“This new appointment brings us back together with the team from Karro and their colleagues at Youngs’ Seafood. This relationship extends back over many years and we are absolutely delighted to once again be working together under the Eight Fifty Food Group banner,” says Simon Cranford, SAS.
“We are all really excited about the new WAN infrastructure SAS is going to deliver for us and the many benefits it will bring to our businesses. The new infrastructure will give us a brilliant platform for us to continue to look to grow our group and services in the future.” Says Adrian Stockill, Group IT Director Eight Fifty Food Group.
The proposed solution is based on a fully managed Meraki SD-WAN deployment with SAS Gateway services for hosted Fusion Hub and remote VPN client access using hosted AnyConnect and DUO MFA. We are also supplying our award winning 4G Rapid Site Deployment solution for use during the transition to the new network and for high availability purposes.
