Routers

  • All our routers are SD-WAN enabled
  • All have inbuilt antennas and can link to external high gain antennas.
    This is helpful where poor cellular coverage prevents mobile phones working well

We can provide a Hosted Voice line to enable incoming and outgoing calls from a laptop or smartphone client. This is helpful if your home worker has poor cellular coverage and needs to make and receive calls.

FAQ's

Can 4G support video calls and time critical apps?

Yes, we can configure 4G to support latency-sensitive applications such as Hosted Voice and Citrix. Quality of service policies can be applied.  Our 4G routers have high gain aerials that perform far better than mobile phones.

Can 4G support multiple users at one site?

Yes.  We have multi-SIM bonded 4G options, along with session-based load-balancing tools.   We regularly support large numbers of users.

How reliable is 4G?

A business 4G service from SAS is far more reliable than traditional mobile phone and more reliable than most business 4G services.   We use proven business-grade routers with external high-gain antennae.  We configure remotely and monitor 24x7 from our UK network operations centre.  We have options that bond multiple SIMs which deliver reliability alongside performance (traffic seamlessly fails over via another live channel in the bond). In these cases, having SIMs from multiple carriers further increases resilience.

What if there's limited mobile coverage at a user's home address?

We have lots of options available to address this. As a general rule, the antennae we use are around ten times more powerful than those you would find in a mobile phone.  We can provide external mount options, external mount options and directional, high-gain antennae.  We can also provide a multi-SIM router using SIMs from one or more carriers to improve performance.

Is Wi-Fi built in?

Yes.  We can set up the router to offer secure WiFi access, and we can configure this remotely for you.

 
How long do I have to have the service?

You can have it from as little as one month.  There are discounts for longer periods.

How do I get this installed?

There are two options:   engineer installation and self-installation.  For both options, the management service will configure remotely once the router is connected and powered up.

Yes!

How does the voice support work?

For urgent requirements we can provide a single-user number and a desktop and/or mobile phone client.  We also have a range of Hosted Voice solutions.

How can I manage usage costs?

We can filter traffic to control non-business use (and / or connect direct to your WAN).  We provide access to a portal, through which you can monitor spend and apply limits so that you’re not surprised.
