London, 20 May 2009 – The SAS Group, an international provider of IP-based network and managed communications services, today announced the financial results for its fiscal 2009 second quarter, ending 28 February 2009. The company posted revenue of £1.94 million and a net quarterly profit of £0.18 million. These results compare to revenue of £1.48 million and net quarterly profit of £0.05 million in the second quarter of 2008. Gross margin was 38 percent, up from 33 percent in the same quarter of 2008.
“We are extremely pleased to report the best revenue and earnings in our history,” said Charles Davis, the SAS Group’s CEO. “Looking ahead to the third quarter, we are not predicting massive growth and expect revenues to be in the region of £1.96 million, however we are anticipating an aggressive fourth quarter and, whilst not immune to the effects of the recession, I am confident in our strategy.”
“For the remainder of the year, we will continue to invest in developing and resourcing opportunities for our managed communications services and, alongside this, we will continue to closely monitor and manage expenses to ensure we deliver value to our customers and shareholders,” said Davis.
