London, 8 May 2009 - The SAS Group, an international provider of IP-based network and managed communications services, has announced revenues of £27.2 million for the fiscal year ending 31 March 2009, in BT’s ICT Solution Partner Programme (ICTSPP).
The results represent growth of 50 per cent, over fiscal year ending 31 March 2008, for the SAS Group, and show an overall rise in the company’s annual contribution to the programme from 28 to 34 per cent.
The BT ICT Solution Partner Programme is an initiative designed to provide infrastructure solutions to BT customers in situations where BT’s primary route, Global Services, is unable to fulfil. By procuring services and products from partners to sell on to end customers as part of an overall ICT solution, BT is able to extend its capability to deliver BT core products and services.
“The wide-spread adoption of unified communications and convergence has led to a massive increase in the complexity of networks,” said Charles Davis, CEO for the SAS Group. “This has triggered demand for much higher levels of support, in small and medium sized organisations, than carriers are able to meet at a competitive price,”
“By partnering with organisations like the SAS Group, BT has found a vehicle for delivering affordable world-class support to companies of all sizes without endangering its reputation or service levels," said Davis.
The SAS Group’s managed communications services provide the support and administration capabilities essential for implementing and effectively managing a converged network infrastructure, including carrier networks, client-based systems and all third party applications. The company’s network operating centre, in West Sussex, single point of contact (SPOC) for entire corporate communications estates, including WANs, Internet circuits, public VPNs, private circuits, wireless networks, remote users, mobile workers, unified communications and other network convergence solutions.
