The SAS Group’s physical infrastructure solutions provide lasting
protection against network failure and performance degradation, minimising
the impact of expansion or change, and delivering a scalable, robust foundation,
including network convergence and unified communications.
With our dedicated
team of engineers SAS can guarantee the highest standards of specification
and installation for structured cabling (CAT5/6 UTP and STP cable), fibre
optic cable, electrical contracting, wireless networks and LAN switches,
patch panels, network outlets, line of sight cameras, and patching cabinets.
All of our physical infrastructure solutions are backed by a comprehensive
range of network support services.
Solution features
Cabling audits analyse
vulnerabilities and threats to network availability and performance, and
provide network intelligence for support, systems documentation and capacity
planning.
Wireless surveys (see
Mobile network solutions).
Cabling and electrical installations focus on the delivery of integrated
network and electrical cabling systems. Our extended installations portfolio
includes PAT testing for regulatory purposes, and consumption and load
testing for performance and availability analysis. All of our cabling and
electrical installations are fully documented for network management and
audit purposes.
Wireless network design and installation (see Mobile network
solutions)
Comms room and data
centre design protects the security and
accessibility of critical data and network systems. We can deliver
and install all of the key resources for a safe and controlled environment,
including floor and ceiling systems, air-cooling, cabinets and cabinet
tidies, power and cabling.
Comms room refit services
bring order and accountability to organically evolved comms rooms and cabinet
tidies. We offer a range of solutions, including comms room surveys, equipment
and cabling tagging, repatching and refitting, out of hours removal, and
comms room documentation.
Physical infrastructure monitoring proactively assesses the performance
and availability of all network components. We can also supply fully managed
services for incident handling and deliver comprehensive reporting tools
for network analysis.
Physical infrastructure support and maintenance offers
onsite and remote helpdesk services, including short-term equipment procurement
and the provision of fail-over systems. We are also able to provide independent
analysis of availability and performance risk against 3rd party implementations,
and manage 3rd party support contracts.
