Project requirements

Manage the appointment of a new carrier and install a new secure inter office WAN:

Implementing two levels of failover using IPVPN; DSL and ISDN, and installing new Cisco routing hardware to automate the management the disaster recovery options
Installing a 34Mbps centralised European Internet access in the UK for greater security and monitoring capabilities
Providing a single point of contact support for WAN and routing hardware
Project description
Data collection of IP schemes for existing WAN, routing configurations and traffic levels to define new IP Schema
Provision of primary WAN - NTT DoCoMo, secondary WAN - public DSL based VPN, and tertiary WAN using ISDN 2 and 30
Provision of Internet Access - BT Net Flex
Installation of migration routers at HQ to ensure smooth transition between KPN Qwest and BT WAN
Integration and migration of 10 remote offices to new BT WAN
LAN integration, including application performance checks to ensure uninterrupted operation
Failover checks and disaster recovery testing to ensure automated failover to secondary and tertiary WAN
Security penetration testing of each remote location
Hardware and software telephone support and remote WAN monitoring
Ongoing monthly service reviews focusing on availability, throughput and utilisation, firmware upgrades for latest protection, regular security penetration testing
Products supplied New BT Net Flex Internet access, Cisco PIX firewalls, Cisco 3640 VPN concentrator, Cisco 2621 routers, Cisco 1721 routers
