Project requirements
Design a secure inter-office and real time replication solution for file, email and intranet data:
- Providing off site archiving for each office by replicating data to BC Partners' offices in other countries
- Delivering a cost effective and reliable solution to limit file data unavailability to under 15 minutes and email data to under two hours
Project description
- Data collection and benchmarking of existing data repository size, change and growth rates for each BCP office
- Modelling data replication impact on WAN to ensure bandwidth availability
- Installation of network attached storage (NAS) in strategic locations to act as common data repositories
- Installation of Veritas Storage Replicator in each office to automated the daily management of site replications
- Initiation and management of 100Gb seed replication, including data integrity checking
- Hardware and software support and remote replication monitoring
- Ongoing remote weekly data integrity checks
