Project requirements
Relocate the company's head quarters, including 50 staff:
- Providing seamless transfer of data communications, desktops and servers within a specified 12-hour migration window
- Implementing new WAN, LAN switches and routers, data circuits and print servers and integrating new hardware and services with existing server and desktop architecture
- Re-commissioning old head quarters as new technical centre and upgrade old office systems
Project description
- Project management and provisioning of new BT WAN connectivity between new location and former office which become technical operations
- Complete management of new data circuits provisioning, and commissioning and decommissioning of old circuits
- Risk analysis and back-out planning
- Pre installation of equipment and circuit checks
- Migration planning to allow for client connectivity to HQ throughout move
- Decommissioning of PCs, printers and servers in existing office - out of normal hours
- Configuration of all PCs, printers and servers and end user tests in new office - out of normal business hours
- Introduction of new file, print and email servers in old office for technical team
- Merge cover to address unforeseen issues
