The SAS Group reports glowing
results for first 12 months in BT ICT
Solution Partner Programme
London,
11 August 2008 - The SAS Group, an international
provider of IP-based network and communication
infrastructure services, has announced
that during the last twelve months to
August 2008 it delivered over £27
million worth of new business contracts
for BT’s wide area networks and
private circuits under the BT Business
ICT solution Partner programme (ICTSPP).
The provision of SAS managed communications
services to support its new contracts
contributed a further £2.2 million
to the total BT ICTSPP contract value
for the year, enabling the SAS Group
to retain its position as one of the
UK’s largest distributors of BT
products and services, and further cementing
its reputation as a leader in the converged
network marketplace.
“We’ve
been delighted by our achievements with
the BT ICT Solution Partner Programme
from a standing start,” said Charles
Davis, CEO of the SAS Group. “In
addition, the level of customer satisfaction
reported has been outstanding; without
exception, each customer is now fully
committed to BT and their investment
in the company has also increased.”
Across
its business in general, the SAS Group
has also experienced significant growth
in the take-up of its managed communications
services by customers. Davis believes
this is because large organisations are
now recognising the value of paying for
a more comprehensive management service
than typically available through a network
carrier.
“More and more companies
are finding that the challenges of convergence
are just too great to manage in-house.
As a result, managed communications is
really coming of age and SAS, as an expert
in this field, is ideally placed to support
customers, particularly those with large
or complex network infrastructures,” concluded
Davis.
