Comment on financial results

The SAS Group finished 2008 in a strong financial position as the global recession began to affect other service providers in our sector. Our decision, in 2007 to focus on building annuity revenues for our managed services has paid dividends and 60% of our revenues are now guaranteed to 2010 and beyond.

Given the current economic climate, we will continue to develop our strategy for managed communications and managed network services for the duration of 2009. Over the coming months, we anticipate a growing number of organisations will be looking for savings from their communications and infrastructure support. Our dedicated services and technical expertise in this area mean we can, not only offer a lower total cost of ownership to companies embarking on a cost-cutting exercise but can also deliver a level of service they would find difficult to match in-house.
