About the author
Simon Cranford is chief information officer for the SAS Group of Companies.
Simon joined SAS in 1996 to lead the development of technology standards and
implementation processes for the company.
Today as CIO he is principally responsible
for developing architectural recommendations and
evaluating emerging technologies in networking and telecommunications
for SAS, its customers and partner organisations.
Prior
to joining SAS, Simon spent a number of years with
US-based manufacturing firm Applied Materials Inc.,
where his responsibilities included systems consulting
and engineering, information systems management and
MIS architecture development. |
